Therefore, I claim its active role as a work of art, something that goes beyond its usual conception of a decorative object. To me, it is imperative to push the common borders of jewellery and establish flexible contacts with other artistic languages that contribute to the redefinition of the jewel concept.</p><p>I conceive contemporary jewellery as an expressive vehicle, just like any other creative area. Currently I live in Barcelona, where I have tree main focuses: dedicate myself to the several projects connected to the postgraduate I am pursuing, Massana Off, in Pueblo Español, and its exhibitions; to develop a master’s thesis on the possible role of contemporary jewellery in the context of contemporary art; and to produce pieces of jewellery to exhibit and sell in galleries.</p>
<p>Entiendo la joyería contemporánea como vehículo expresivo a la par de otras áreas creativas y le reivindico, en este sentido, un papel importante como obra de arte mucho más allá de la usual concepción de joya decorativa. Me parece vital cruzar las fronteras comunes de la joyería y trazar uniones flexibles con otros lenguajes artísticos que ayuden a reinventar el concepto de joya.
Presentemente vivo en Barcelona, donde me centro es tres objetivos principales: dedicarme a los diversos proyectos vinculados al postgrado Massana Off, en el Pueblo Español, y sus consecuentes exhibiciones; desarrollar una tesis de master sobre el posible papel de la joyería contemporánea en el contexto del arte actual; y producir piezas para exhibir y vender en las galerías.</p>
<p>Entendo a joalharia contemporânea como veículo expressivo a par de outras áreas criativas e reivindico-lhe, neste sentido, um papel interventivo como obra de arte muito além da usual concepção de jóia de adorno. É vital ultrapassar as comuns fronteiras da joalharia e traçar uniões flexíveis com outras linguagens artísticas que ajudem a reinventar o conceito de jóia.
